Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The 212th anniversary of birth of Hans Christian Andersen, who is respected as a king of fairytales, falls on April 2. The day is annually celebrated as an International Children’s Book day worldwide as well as in Mongolia. Children’s Book Palace of Mongolia regularly celebrates this day with its young readers.

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The State Academic Theatre of Drama is naming this October “A Month of Historic Plays”. Mongolian classic plays such as “The Son of Heaven” by B.Tsognemekh, “Mother Orolmaa” by D.Namdag, “Temuujin” by S.Jargalsaikhan and “A state without seal” by B.Lkhagvasuren will be staged.

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The above is the name of an exhibition of six Mongolian painters, opening at Caravan Art Gallery, located 30 meters north of Zanabazar museum, on August 10. For five days, the exhibition will display unique artworks expressing the closeness of histories of the Central Asian countries and Mongolia.
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ “Danshig Naadam-Khuree Tsam 2015”, a religious festival was celebrated at Khui Doloon Khudag’ Naadam Complex on August 8 and 9. The old religious festival, which existed over hundred years ago, has been revived this year devoted to the 380th birth anniversary of the Ondor Gegeen (High Saint) Zanabazar, the first Buddhist leader of Mongolia.
