Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Minister of Foreign Affairs Ts.Munkh-Orgil met with Michael Georg Link, Director of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), who paid a working visit to Mongolia between March 14 and 15.
At the meeting, the ODIHR Director highlighted Mongolia's successful organization of the parliamentary elections of 2016 and mentioned that experience gained by Mongolia sets an example for other regional countries. He further informed that the OSCE will be giving support to corresponding Mongolian government organizations to implement recommendations and reports developed by their observers.
In turn, Minister Ts.Munkh-Orgil expressed his willingness to cooperate on establishing a regional center to prepare election observors and training and employing Mongolian officers in the OSCE. The sides then exchanged views regarding the productive partnership of Mongolia and OSCE.
