Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Mr Ts. Munkh-Orgil paid an official visit to the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal from December 19 to 20, 2016 at the invitation of his Nepalese counterpart, Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat.
The Chairman of the State Great Khural Mr M.Enkhbold has arrived in the Persian Gulf to pay official visits to the Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
The visit began with a meeting with the President of the UAE Federal National Council, Dr Amal Abdullah Juma Al Qubaisi.
The latter acknowledged the growing ties between the legislatures of our countries. “Our relations are based on mutual trust. Although, the UAE have diplomatic ties with many other countries, relationship with Mongolia has been thriving at an upgraded level of equality”, she noted.
Chairman of the State Great Khural (Parliament) Mr M.Enkhbold left Ulaanbaatar on Thursday to pay an official visit to the Russian Federation, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
Mongolian painters helps citizens with disabilities
On the occasion of the Human Rights Day, a charity exhibition named “Social Art” has been opened with 100 art works in Ulaanbaatar. The event is being staged by Mongolian artists with a view to make their contribution to the foundation of a capacity building center for disabled people.
The run-off for the office of the Democratic Party chairman has officially begun, stated DP Secretary General Mr L.Erkhembayar and head of the DP chairman election committee Mr J.Oyunbaatar at a press briefing today.
Mongolian Democratic Party convenes its congress
The Mongolian Democratic Party commenced today its 6th Congress which is attended by 1210 delegates. The Congress agenda includes a political report, concept of the Democratic party and new draft rules of the party. The Congress is also attended upon invitation by a hundred persons who participated in foundation of the party.
Law on promoting youth development drafted
The Government of Mongolia has drafted a new law on promoting youth development. It will be presented to the Parliament shortly.
According to statistical data, by the end of 2015, nearly 43 % of the total population of Mongolia was young people aged from 16 to 40.
Once the bill is passed by the legislature, the Mongolian government will implement a national program on promoting youth development.
In conjunction with the UN release of a resolution over human rights in North Korea, the Ambassador of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), Hong Kyu made a statement on November 18.
The resolution discussed at the Third Committee of the 71st session of UNGA meeting expressed concerns about exploitation of North Korean work forces.
Mongolian junior weightlifter won a gold medal
M.Ankhtsetseg, an International master of sports grabbed a gold medal in the women’s category of 75 kg at the 2016 Asian Youth & Junior Weightlifting Championships which was held from from 8th to 16th of November in the Otaku City Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan.
Prime Minister Mr J.Erdenebat was on a working tour in Umnugovi (South Gobi) province last weekend, and paid site visits to Oyu Tolgoi concentrator, underground mining development, “Tsagaan Suvarga” (White Stupa) mine, “Gashuunsukhait” border checkpoint, “Tavantolgoi” and “Energy Resource” mining companies.
He emphasized an importance of forwarding the major construction and mining projects as an exit from the current economic difficulties and the project must serve both in favor of the interests of the people and business entities.
